Skipping

Life is all about skipping but stick people are often tricked into thinking that there are only two ways to get from point A to point B on their feet: if there's no rush, they walk, and if they're in a hurry, they run.

The problem with this is that stick people begin to think only in terms of goals and destinations. They forget that, even if the journey has a destination, that doesn't mean that the journey can't also be an end in itself.

The purpose of walking is to get somewhere. The purpose of running is to get somewhere fast. But the purpose of skipping is simply to skip, to take delight in the journey.

Stick people are too often goal-oriented and forget to delight in everything along the way. This is why it is important for stick people to skip, not just on their feet, but in life as well. Why not use life for nothing more than to live, from time to time?
